DescriptionThe badge of HMS Repulse, confirmed in 1916. HMS Repulse was one of two Renown-class battlecruisers built for the Royal Navy during the First World War. The badge depicts On a Field red an eagle alighting on a rook, facing dexter
wings half raised. Official design. The circular shape indictaes that the Ship was a battlecruiser. Colour of field is red and differs from Admiralty Ships' Badges Committee description. Design cannot have been in use before 1919. No bolt holes for attachment to vessel. Design is later of two official patterns (description of the other pattern MMM 001611).
