DescriptionHMS Egmont was the name of Fort St.Angelo when it was commissioned as a stone frigate. This happened at the start of the 20th Century. The badge depicts on a field red, an Argent antelope's head, around the neck a ducal coronet and chain gold, in his mouth a thistle proper. The design derives from one of the supporters of the arms of the Percival family, Earls of Egmont. The badge is diamond-shaped with a gold rope twist border representing an auxiliary, and it is topped with a naval crown of the same colour. The badge is mounted onto a wooden Plaque as a commemorative piece.InscriptionsOn recto "EGMONT"Material
