It still exists as a branch of the Naval Service.

The badge for the Royal Corps of Naval Constructors has the Royal coat-of- arms of the United Kingdom at the centre. The quartered shield, containing the guardant lions of England, the rampant lion of Scotland and the harp for Ireland. The shield, surrounded by a garter containing the words: ‘HONI SOIT QUI MALI PENSE’ (‘shame on anyone who thinks evil of it’), is held by a lion and a unicorn, both resting on a banner which reads: ‘DIEU ET. MON DROIT’ (‘God and my right’). The coat-of-arms is set against a field brown, circled by a thick light blue band containing the title: ROYAL CORPS OF NAVAL CONSTRUCTORS. At the bottom, there is an anchor. The badge is topped by a Naval Crown. The badge is mounted onto a wooden plaque as a commemorative piece.</value></field><field label="Depth" name="depth"><value>67.5000000000</value></field><field label="Inscriptions" name="inscribed"><value>On verso "Royal Corps of Naval Constructors"</value></field><field label="Dimensions" name="dimensions"><value>Overall: 57.5 × 67.5 cm, 6.5 kg</value></field><field label="Museum" name="department"><value>Malta Maritime Museum</value></field><field label="Alternate ID Numbers" name="altNums"><value>EEA.1394</value><value>41066-7</value><value>81799</value></field><field label="Public Access" name="onview"><value>0</value></field><field label="Object Type" name="textEntriesObjecttype"><value>Crest Badge</value></field><field label="Node" name="node"><value>Heritage Malta</value></field><field label="Source ID" name="sourceId"><value>137</value></field><field label="Material" name="textEntriesMaterial"><value>Wood, paint, metal</value></field><field label="Technique" name="textEntriesTechnique"><value>Cast in metal, hand painted on a wooden plaque.</value></field></object>
