Jean-Antoine ConstantinBorn in Marseille, France, in 1756, Jean-Antoine Constantin founded the Provençal school of landscape painting. He attempted to visit Rome to study but had to return due to his declining health. He was also the Director of the School of Drawing in Aix-en-Provence.
