DescriptionThe badge belonged to the repair ship HMS Resource F79. HMS Resource served with the Mediterranean fleet 1939-44. She joined the Eastern fleet in 1944 and was scrapped in 1954.The badge depicts on an Azure field, an Or sea-unicorn. The 'Unicorn' taken by the French in 1780 was recaptured in 1781 by the 'Resource'.
