DescriptionParticipated in Malta Convoy GM-1 (SUBSTANCE), arriving at Malta on 24 July 1941. She returned to Gibraltar (unescorted, convoy MG-2), leaving Malta on 29 September 1941 and arriving at Gibraltar on the 30th. She then participated in convoy GM-5 (PEDESTAL), arriving Malta on 13 August 1942. She left Malta for Egypt on 7 December 1942 as a unit of convoy ME-11. During PEDESTAL the "PORT CHALMERS" was armed with 1-4"gun, 2-40 mm and 6-20mm AA guns.InscriptionsInscription written in English on front and rearSpecial Collection
