DescriptionThe badge has a shield form standing on an anchor with a banner underneath with the words "MARITIME SQUADRON AFM". The badge illustrates on a field black, a trident per pale with a Maltese eight-pointed cross and two branches, one palm and one olive, all proper. The badge also has a five tower crown: A mural crown of five towers but unfortunately it is broken and lost.
It is marked on the back as plaque No. 59 and dated to 12th November 1997.
InscriptionsOn recto "Maritime Squadron AFM". On verso, centre note reads "Maritime Squadron Armed Forces of Malta Plaque No. 59 [signed] M. Cauchi Inglott Officer Commanding Date: 12th November 1997". Also written in black ink "MM/1033 20083-4".Material
