DescriptionA turning chisel composed of a wooden handlewith an unusual pommel that is narrower than the bulk of the handle and reinforced with an iron or steel ferrule; a short ferrule which appears to be made of iron; and a wood-turning blade with a tapered-face frontal edge, parallel side edges and a triple shamrock trademark which is evidently indicative of a W.Marples&Sons maker's mark.
