InscriptionsOn recto, underneath image "To the Right Honorable Horatio Nelson, Baron Nelson of the Nile & of Burham Thorpe in the County of Norfolk, Knight of the Most Honorable Military Order of the Bath and Rear Admiral of the Red, and the respective Captains, Officers, Seamen and Marines who served under him. This Print representing the approach of the British Squadron to the Attack of the French under Admiral De Brueys off the Mouth of the Nile on the evening of the 1st of August 17098 is Respectfully inscribed by Nichols Pocock". In smaller font, on the left-hand side "Painted by Nicholas Pocock", on the right-hand side "Engraved by Rob Pollard".
