Giovanni Balducci, called Il Cosci, was born 1560 and died after 1631. The Florentine artist, and draughtsman, was trained under Giovanni Battista Naldini as well as Giorgio Vasari, and also assisting to Federico Zuccari on prestigious commissions including the cupola of Brunelleschi's Florence Duomo dome. He was sought after by various cardinals in Naples and Rome.
