Ubaldo Gandolfi (1728–1781) was an Italian late-Baroque painter, draftsman, and sculptor who worked primarily in Bologna and its surroundings. He gained renown for his biblical, mythological, and allegorical scenes, as well as for portraits and nudes. Together with his brother Gaetano, he ranked among the most acclaimed Italian artists of his time, securing prestigious commissions from courts and patrons across Europe thanks to the exceptional quality of his work.
