Guido ReniItalian, 1575 - 1642

Guido Reni (1575–1642) was a leading Italian Baroque painter known for his graceful, classical style. Influenced by the Carracci and active in Bologna, Rome, and Naples, he became a central figure of the Bolognese School. Though mainly focused on religious subjects, he also painted mythological and allegorical scenes, blending Baroque emotion with classical harmony.
