Theodoor Van ThuldenFlemish, 1606 - 1669

Theodoor van Thulden was a Flemish painter and printmaker born in 's-Hertogenbosch in the duchy of Brabant. He worked in Antwerp where he trained with Abraham van Blijenberch. He is known to have collaborated closely with Peter Paul Rubens in the 1630s in Antwerp, eventually becoming one of his most accomplished assistants. His career included work in several major artistic centres, including Paris, Fontainebleau, The Hague, Brussels, and Antwerp apart from his native city of 's-Hertogenbosch.
