DescriptionThe bow damage was sustained on 22 August 1943 when she rammed and sank the German submarine "U-458" south of Pantalleria. "EASTON" carried-out emergency repairs at Malta dockyard (in No. 1 Dock) and was then permanently repaired at Gibraltar, becoming operational again on 18 September 1944.Special Collection
