Benedetto Luti

BiographyBenedetto Luti, born in 1666 and died in 1724, was a Florentine painter belonging to the Baroque movement, draughtsman as well as a collector and dealer of art, whilst also running a school of drawing of his own. Luti worked with oils as well as the fresco technique, especially recognised for his pastel portraiture which caught the eyes of many important Roman families, even getting to enjoy the last few commissions from the Medici family.
