Federico Zuccaro

BiographyFederico Zuccaro, or Zuccari, was born in the Italian region of Urbino in the mid-16th century where at an early age he apprenticed in painting under his elder brother Taddeo from which he learned the Mannerism style from. He was involved in a number of works in churches and cathedrals in Rome and Venice, as well as commissions for cycles in palaces of noble families and monarchies. He was well respected for his skill and was even tasked to continue a fresco cycle of that of Giorgio Vasari.
